About Bowax Academy and its location

What Bowax Academy is, where it is and how the training is delivered.

What is Bowax Academy?

Bowax Academy is a professional automotive care training academy in Gebze (Kocaeli), Türkiye. It provides hands-on, real-vehicle training in paint protection film (PPF), window film, polishing and paint correction, color-change vinyl wrapping, paintless dent repair (PDR), and trim removal and reinstallation — along with a job-guaranteed career program, a training program for women and post-training support.

Where is Bowax Academy? Is it in Istanbul?

Bowax Academy is in Gebze, in the province of Kocaeli, Türkiye: Sultan Orhan, Yeni Bağdat Cd. No:526, 41400 Gebze/Kocaeli. Gebze is close to the Asian side of Istanbul, but the Academy is not in Istanbul. All courses are delivered at this single training center; there are no branches in other cities or countries.

Do you offer online or distance training?

No. Bowax Academy does not offer online, distance or hybrid training. All courses are delivered face to face at the training center in Gebze, and around 90% of the time is hands-on practice on real vehicles.

Who delivers the training?

The training method and technical standards are led by Lokman İn, the founder of Bowax and Bowax Academy. Day-to-day practice is followed by specialist practitioner instructors who work on real customer vehicles in Bowax application centers: they check your work next to you, show mistakes as they happen and have you repeat the step.

Courses, duration and schedule

Which courses are available, how long they take and who can attend.

Which courses does Bowax Academy offer?

Six hands-on courses: paint protection film (PPF) installation, window film, polishing and paint correction, color-change vinyl wrapping, paintless dent repair (PDR), and trim removal and reinstallation. Ceramic coating and interior detailing are not separate courses; they are taught within the polishing and paint correction course.

How long are the courses and what are the training hours?

Five courses take 1 week (6 days); the paintless dent repair course takes 2 weeks (12 days). Training runs Monday to Saturday, 09:00–18:00, full time; there is no training on Sunday. A new class starts every Monday for every course, so you do not need to wait for a fixed term.

How many participants are in a class?

Classes are limited to 3 participants, so that every participant works on the vehicle and the instructor can follow each person's work.

Do I need previous experience? Is there an age limit?

No previous experience is required; all six courses start from the basics, and professionals who want to improve their technique join the same programs. The minimum age is 15; participants aged 15–17 need the consent of a parent or legal guardian. There is no upper age limit.

Do I need to bring a car, tools or materials?

No. Practice is done on the Academy's own training vehicles and vehicle parts, under instructor supervision, and participants' own cars are not used. The Academy provides the products and equipment used in training, work clothing and lunch. Equipment is used during the training and is not given to participants afterwards.

Can I take more than one course in a single trip?

Yes. You can take one course, several back to back, or all of them. Because every course starts a new class each Monday, you can plan a second course for the following week; for example, PPF and window film take two weeks in total.

What language is the training delivered in?

The Academy is a single training center in Gebze, Kocaeli. If Turkish is not your first language, please contact the training team before you apply to discuss your language needs.

Certificate

What the Bowax Academy certificate is, and what it is not.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes. Every participant receives a separate Bowax Academy certificate for each course attended. There is no formal exam or pass/fail grade; the condition is full attendance. The printed certificate is handed over when the course is completed, and a digital record is added to your account in the Bowax Academy Student Portal.

Is the certificate government-approved or recognized in other countries?

No. It is a training certificate issued by Bowax Academy. It is not a Turkish state document, not a Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK) certificate and not a Ministry of National Education certificate, and it carries no official equivalence or international accreditation in any other country. Abroad it serves as a document showing which training you completed; how it is evaluated depends on the employer or the relevant authority.

Can I open my own business with this certificate?

The certificate documents your training; it is not a business license. The permits and documents needed to open a detailing or film installation business depend on the rules of the country and city where you will work, so please check them with the local authorities. The training gives you the practical skills needed to work in a shop or to start your own.

Jobs and career

What the Academy does and does not promise about work after training.

Is a job guaranteed after the training?

Not in the standard courses. A job guarantee applies only to the participants of the separate Job-Guaranteed Training Program, under that program's own terms. A separate, structured career program that combines 6 weeks of Academy training (2 weeks polishing, 2 weeks PPF, 2 weeks window film) with a 6–8-week field internship, a theoretical assessment and a practical performance exam — about 12–14 weeks in total. Participants who pass are placed, according to suitable positions and needs, in Bowax Care application centers, Bowax Academy, Bowax affiliates or partner professional centers. Placement comes with a 1-year work commitment. Program fee: TRY 260,000 (TRY 110,000 for women participants).

How much can I earn after the training?

Bowax Academy does not guarantee any income or salary. Earnings vary with the business you work for, the country and city, your experience and the quality of your work. For the Turkish market, the Academy publishes approximate reference ranges (in Turkish) in its Sector and Market Guide; they are reference ranges, not guarantees. The training gives you a professional skill; turning it into employment or your own business depends on your goals and effort.

Is there support after the training?

After training, support continues through the Bowax Academy Student Portal: participants access training content, follow their questions and support requests, and see student and graduate benefits, including product and equipment advantages from partner suppliers.
